Munnerlyn return to Carolina? Maybe, but not so fast.

In case you were taking it for granted that Captain Munnerlyn would be another Ted Ginn Jr. story about the prodigal son returning home, it may not be that easy the way Cap is talking. He is talking up his position in Minny.

"Everybody wants to throw the ball. Everybody wants to see the scoreboard light up so hopefully teams see that. Definitely hoping the Vikings see that because we play it a lot, I hope they value my position and value my talent and bring me back."

So, Cap doesn't necessarily feel all warm and fuzzy inside about Carolina like Ginn did. Add that to what many suspect is Gettleman's proclivity to value corners a little lower on the totem pole than other positions---and then take into account that nickel corners are naturally valued even less---then it's certainly not a given that Cap will return to Charlotte.

Vikings won't bring him back. Invested too much in young corners to keep sitting them behind guys like Captain and Newman. Will likely spend the money not used on the vets back there to shore up the OL or for some other need. Doesn't make sense for them to have a boatload invested in just their secondary. 

There's definite mutual interest here, it'll only depend on what his market looks like and what he wants money wise. I don't think he'll command a whole lot more than DG and Rivera would be willing to invest in him but who knows. It really just makes perfect sense for both sides to reunite, but money could come calling elsewhere preventing it from happening.

The guys been there 3 years, I'm sure it's home to him now. And He's played very well. This is completely different from Ginn, who left for 1 year and sucked!  What's he gonna say, "Fug the vikings if they don't want to pay me!"?

CAP would be lucky if Carolina wanted him back. The draft is deep at CB so he better take what he can get.

cap was salty as hell and no i dont want him back he sucked vs big wrs . people couldn't wait for him to leave and everyones so quick to want him back , if anyone id take back that would be mike mitchell

Don't think it really compares to the Ginn situation since Cap has had success outside of Carolina unlike Ginn (except for one year in Miami).

I seem to remember him talking junk about his former teammates after the Vikings win.

Bradberry was good, but he didnt even play a full season and was getting worked by Julio right before he took his injury leave. He played well when he came back from missing significant time. Yeah The guy has a bright future but pump the brakes a little.
