How much do we trust Mayo?

Mayo is fully capable of filling in for Luke. He is better than Klein and a hell of a draft pick by Gettleman that made everyone scratch their heads at the time

Mayo looked damn good when given the opportunity to play last year. He is certainly more athletic than Klein, he just needs to keep developing in the mental aspect of the game. But he is a lateral move from Klein right now IMO.

Plus we seem to find great linebacker depth pretty consistently. I'm not worried. Between Davis, Shaq, Luke, Mayo, and a few young guys developing and coming in, I'd say we are in good shape.

 Mayo has improved each year, if that continues we should trust him.

Plus, Shaq played some MLB on passing downs if what shouldn't be said happens.

It's the one area of our team that has been one of our stronger points for as long as I've been a fan. Sure, there's always a concern but I have more trust in finding and coaching up linebackers than any other position.

I've liked what I've seen out of Mayo so far. 

If something were to happen to Luke again, with as much nickel as we run anyway, why not just roll with TD and Shaq? Mayo would only be playing in 4-3 and goalline sets if we did that.
