Brandon Marshall released

Knew this was coming so let me end it right now

1. There's a reason he can't stay on one team longer then two years

2. He's just about washed up

3. He's a serial woman beater, he only who got away with it because no one cared about that until after the Rice video

The same Brandon Marshall the huddle told me was done 2 years ago then went on to put up 14 touchdowns and 1500 yards?

Instead of hoping Funchess becomes a Brandon Marshall type WR just go out and get the real thing!

Doesnt Marshall do a show in NY during the week though? Inside the NFL or something? I think he's said he wants to continue to do that and may prefer to be close to NY or at least be given the freedom to travel and do the show.

Jets released WR Brandon Marshall.

Marshall reportedly asked for his release in hopes of playing for a team with a better 2017 outlook. The move saves the Jets $7.5 million in cap space. Gang Green's roster purge continues after cutting CB Darrelle Revis, LB Erin Henderson, K Nick Folk, OTs Ryan Clady and Breno Giacomini, and C Nick Mangold. Turning 33 later this month, Marshall experienced a significant drop in efficiency in 2016, managing a career-worst 46.1-percent catch rate with just three touchdowns on 128 targets. Still, Marshall should draw significant interest from contenders with strong locker rooms. Baltimore beat writers have suggested Marshall as a fit for the Ravens.

Wow, he looked very good at times last year. Built like the prototype WR you'd make for Cam. Interesting guy too, he has a mental disorder (borderline personality disorder) and seems to have been handling it well.

I'd be pumped to have him on the field but probably no way it happens.

    • Smith-Wade for me. He has the path to some decent hefty snaps in Evero’s scheme. He held his own last year and improved as he continued to get snaps— If he makes some strides, could be a very capable nickel.  I agree with Sanders. Bryce had some trust in him that final Falcons game post crazy head-stand.  Bryce looked for him a lot that final game and made some critical catches to get us the W. Seems he’s put in major work so I’m hopeful about him.  Wallace will have an offseason under his belt. I like him a lot, was higher graded than most remember in his draft (I.e Brugler had him LB3/70 overall) but he isn’t as cerebral of an LB as we’re used to. I think he could thrive if we get D captain/film-junky type next to him— because right now that’s Jewell.  Still a bit cautious but love the talent. Rozeboom may snag some playing time from him if he’s still working out the kinks.
    • Didnt Canales already say starters are playing in the pre season? either way extra reps dont hurt but im not one of those people that think playing in the pre season would have saved Bryce from an awful start.
