Did the Pats really "win" free agency?

Hearing a lot of BS about how the Pats have killed everyone else in FA, and a name that keeps coming up is the Panthers and Kony Ealy. Some idiot on Mike n Mike told everyone that we shouldn't pay attention to his production during the regular season so far in his career but to watch the SB where he dominated... according to this moron Dave basically got bent over and abused. 

What say you guys?

They didn't really win much with the Ealy trade and we didn't lose much. Win-win for both sides in that scenario.

The Patriots did go out and stock their team well though. So they did have a swell FA.

They got two top players in Gilmore and Cooks who both are in their prime.

I would say they won it fairly easily.

That's why you don't listen to the talking heads, Ealy was almost nonexistent in some games.

I honestly feel this will be Ealy's breakout year. We'll see with the Pats, but I'm thinking he puts up 12 sacks and then demands elite DE money which obviously the Panthers wouldn't have paid and neither will the Pats. 

But a team like the Niners or Browns will hop all over him in 2018 if he puts up that kind of production.

As long as the pats win Superbowls, get to the playoffs every year, and continue to win. They will always be considered to win everything from drafting to free agency as long as they are winners wether they did or not.

They traded the last pick in the first and a 3rd for a guy that has proven he can compete in the NFL, given their HOF QB another weapon in a passing game league, and set themselves up to let Brady carry them again. Given BillyB's drafting record, I say they won that trade by a mile. 

Easy, I'm not sure about, but if anyone can get him to perform like he did in SB50, it's going to be BillyB.

They did and sadly will probably win another Super Bowl. There's no other organization close to them in any aspect. Sucks, but it's true.

They got Gilmore, Cooks, and an underrated Rex Burkhead (who's probably going to kill it in their system), and they re-signed Hightower to a relatively good contract, so yeah, they're doing their thing. I suspect they'll be even more trouble this year than the last.

The Patriots are known for getting the best out of their players. I'm sure he'll do just as good, if not better than what brandon lafell did over there. I realize that they play different positions; but I'm sure Kony's stats will improve in that very succesful system.

Until they have an off-season that doesn't result in them being Super Bowl contenders,  yeah, they did.
