Listening to Mike n Mike this morning, they were talking about a reporter who was told by several players that they feel Gronk gets away with a lot of stuff that guys like Cam would be crucified for.. like the parties, the wrasslin...

What say you guys

This is beating a dead horse...I personally love Gronk and goes with out saying Cam is that dude but at this point it is what it is with the media. I've embraced the fact that Cam is who he is and the media can say or do whatever they want but it doesn't affect him as much as it does us as fans. Cam says it best in all his social media pics "#shinethrushade"

There are other high profile NFL that run around like wild animals as well.  Gronk is very charming and affable.  He's like the nice frat guy who moved into your family neighborhood.  And that's just who he is, he embraces it and shows a real joy in life in his moment.

Cam has always been polarizing because he's a mega star, dresses like...well like he does, and he wears his emotions on his sleeve.

I think the main difference is that Gronk plays the media's game better, and Cam doesn't like to play it.

Completely agree. I've felt like this for a long time now. I didn't want too seem like a whine bag if I posted a ten page rant about it so I never said anything. Imagine if Cam grinded on a femal reporter like Gronk did two years ago.

one more thing: remember when travis Kelce and Michale Bennett went off to reporters after play off losses. They cursed at reporters and blamed losses on the refs etc. all cam did was leave early from a press conference. Who do you think got the most heat?

Gronk is a big dumb white guy that is the life of the party. He does something stupid many will just scoff it aside as boys being boys.

Black QB's that don't conform to the stereotypical Russell Wilson type of nonthreatening black guy that makes white people feel more comfortable to be around will always be under the microscope. Not much has changed in the NFL in that regard, it's just more behind the scenes.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
