What if Adams, Fournette, and Thomas are all there at 8? Who is the pick?

What do you think?

Thomas seems like the surest bet as the #2 DE in the draft dropped to 8 you'd have to take him right? Seems very intelligent, really high motor. This would be my choice, the stars just seem to align for getting a really good DE prospect and having Peppers come back, and us having DE veterans galore.

But Fournette fits almost exactly what the team is looking for in a young power RB to groom behind Stewart and take Pressure of Cam. I'm personally a little dubious of Fournette because he's not very shifty and I don't know if his power game translates to the NFL. I'd be cautiously hopeful if Fournette was the pick.

However Adams could end up being our very own Eric Berry , in an ideal senario with a DB coach as D-Cordinator now , with another seasoned Adams to mentor him.

Or do you think something else might happen?

Scary thing is that I think a scenario like this may happen. QBs are going higher than people anticipate there will be trades to grab these guys with Jets, Bills, Browns, Cardinals all wanting one. I trust Gettleman will make the right choice for the franchise because they are all fantastic players. I would say Adams if he's there is the guy. You can still get a good RB and Pass Rusher in round 2. Your not getting a guy like Adams outside the top 10. Fournette would be my second choice. Thomas just does t seem like a Gettleman DE. Gettleman likes big freaks like Taco.

Trading down to get a guy like O.J, or one of the really good RBs would be great for our struggling offense. And we can use extra picks to fill the hole at WR, and add depth at LB and OT. Luke and Oher could be concussed again and we need to have better talent behind them. Should be an amazing draft with such high picks and teams looking to trade up for QBs. So sweet.

    • Little worried about Jarvy Shoulder and that torn cuff, it's needed surgery for 2 years now and he's gonna play with it injured again next season.    I like the toughness but would definitely prefer it to be fixed. He's an intritical player on the team going forward.    Also I was high on pain pills last time I wrote about saving cap space but I didn't go into detail cause I wouldn't have been able to do so. "still on a ton of pain medication but not as nearly as many, think I'm down to 23 pills a day from 32 a few days ago, 18 of them are for pain management in some form or another."     But I digress let's get to the point I was trying to make in my last post about saving, I'll now use Jarvis as an example.    Let's say the canes spend 23m of the 28m in space they have available. Then have Jarvis get surgery and put him on LTIR at the start of the regular season.  You let the cap space sit til the trade deadline. At the deadline that cap space would have accural on it and the team can use that space and spend 24m on incoming salary for the rest of the season. Let's say they bring in 5 players and send out two. "player A has an 8m AAV contract" he'd cost Carolina 4m the rest of the season. Player B makes 10 "cost of 5. So forth and so forth.  Using that accural system and the Jarvis LTIR, the Canes could then go into the playoffs with a healthy Jarvis and be 19m over the cap legally for a cup run. The more cap space available at the start of the season, the larger the accural would be at the trade deadline.    That was the first part of what I was going to try and articulate the other day but I'm on 35mg of oxy every 6 hours plus ketorolac and two other pain pills and another for kidney spasms.    Have a wonderful night everyone
