6 months in....

Jeremy Igo

Recommended Posts

6 months in on the whole food plant based eating.

Down 35 pounds. Off all prescription medications. Back pain is gone. Everything just works better thanks to the reversal of arteriosclerosis. My tubes are relaxing and opening up again, and blood is able to get where it needs to go. It is as simple as that.

Have not been sick this year. Not even allergies. I even stayed healthy at a time my whole household passed around stomach flu.

The point? If you have any chronic lingering medical issues, just try it out for a month. You could save a ton of cash , feel so.much better, and extend your life in the mean time.

I realize I catch flack for the posts, but after each one I make I get DM's from people wanting to improve their health. That makes it worth it. Anywho...

After careful consideration, I think I might actually be interested in a diet similar to yours.

The real reason I haven't tried yet is due to my stubborness. I love eating meat and greasy fried food. It tastes good, but makes me feel like poo afterwards. Always an experience.

Lately, that "poo" feeling has lingered more than I feel it should. I work out and do limit my fried foods, but that doesn't seem to be helping my quality of life. I tried to limit how much meat I eat, but even that doesn't help.

I know the facts. Plant based foods will prolong your quality of life and even lifespan. Research proves that.   For one, you can look at Loma Linda and see how their average lifespan is greater than that of most of the world due to their diet.

You can defend meat and fried food all you want, but facts are they're the main culprit for health issues and the only reason its defended is taste.

I would appreciate a DM sometime about how you diet, what you eat, and what you recommend I do. Any recipes, tips, and whatever you got would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on your journey so far Jeremy. I think you've also inspired me to finally do something I should've done years ago.

Thank you.

Clean eating can go a long way, I used to weight 275 and went as low as 170, moderate exercise and clean eating does wonders.

I had a couple of surgeries sideline me for a while and I got up to 220 back in early April this year. I'm currently sitting at 200, and am just trying to get back down to 190(I look anorexic at 170 because I am a big guy.

Also if there is one thing I could change about my current diet, it's less beer(I by no means drink a lot, like 6pk/week atm), and less coffee. The coffee is kinda a necessity though so I doubt that's going anywhere.

Do you count calories??

Counting calories has one big issue, 1000 calories in vegetables, and 1000 calories in carbs are two different things entirely, your body will process them entirely different. I try to keep my total daily intake below 2000 atm and control my carbs.

I drink it black, it's just that I have other issues(born with them) that makes coffee not the best thing in the world for me. Black coffee is actually a great preworkout drink

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
