The Wheels are slowly coming off-Zeke Elliot punched a DJ at a Dallas bar.

Umm.. lets rush to judgement and discount the fact that professional athletes are routinely targeted by people who want to get paid.

Not saying he is innocent, but "involved in altercation" for a professional athlete these days means he was in the bar.

Damn. Was he known to be this much of a head case at OSU? I can't remember if I am missing anything but visiting a weed dispensary, the domestic violence allegations (that was around his rumored suspension) and now this all in one year? Cowboys.

Na, he showed no problems at Ohio State.

What will be funny is, if we look back on Joe Mixon and Zeke Elliots careers, and we say "what could have been for Zeke."  And how great Joe Mixon was.  That would be hilarious.

He's about to get suspended for another altercation as well.  No reason to rush, when there's already a precedent already set.

I agree but this guy seems to be living up to the old adage of "where there is smoke there is fire".

Elliott is already under NFL investigation stemming from a 2016 domestic violence accusation against him. The running back has been preparing a response to the league to be submitted in the next week, sources told Schefter.

Multiple sources told Schefter that Elliott could face a one- or two-game suspension, but the NFL has denied that any decision on discipline has been made and said it could not be made until its investigation is complete.

Sunday's incident adds to the series of off-field issues involving Elliott during his first NFL season.

"Just trying to learn to stay out of the way," Elliott said. "Whatever you do is going to be seen."

Elliott is accustomed to the spotlight since his playing days at Ohio State, but he said the intensity has been greater with the Cowboys. He said he learned lessons from his missteps as a rookie as well as this offseason.

"I think it's just life," Elliott said in June. "You learn from your mistakes, and if you don't, it can be brutal. So it's just part of life."

Zeke..you have to learn from your mistakes and then modify your behavior.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
