Firing of a GM right before the season starts shakes things up a lot. Especially when you consider that there are two important vets waiting for new contracts/extensions right now and a total newcomer is more than likely coming in to make the contract calls now. So, yeah, if the team was right on the edge of having a successful season, I don't think it's crazy to predict this pushes them to the other side a bit. 

And don't forget that pre-season camp involves not only cuts from your own team but evaluating cuts from other teams as possible additions to your roster.

But I'm sure Ron and Mike can take care of those things.  Meanwhile, JR is drawing up contracts for TD and GO that will keep us in salary cap hell in perpetuity.

Who was that after we drafted McCaffrey that said enjoy his 5 years here before he heads for Denver?  Whoever that was might be more right than I ever realized.

So, let me say that this is 100% SPECULATION AND IN NO WAY FACT BASED.....but, would it change anyone's opinions if he didn't get canned as much for the player treatment as for the front office defections that have occurred recently?

i know gettleman killed some of your families and all that but even if you love this move so much that your precious little heart is about to explode the timing makes no sense whatsoever

I just don't like this. IMO, Gettleman was one of the best in the business when it comes to building the bottom of the roster, which is a hell of a lot more important than some fans think. He has done a fantastic job of not overpaying all those name players that are released by other teams that some fans crave.

What's he saying? That Gettleman was canned due to the slander of our front office that's been in the media lately? Having a hard time understanding that post @kungfoodude please advise
