Smells like BS to me. Even coming from PhillyB, whom I respect probably more than almost anyone here...

Regardless of it being true or not, the same people that hated Smitty before are still gonna hate him. He doesn't care about those people, other than for motivational purposes.

I don't really see the point of exposing it now, though, again, if true. It seems kind of agenda serving, at the very least.

A lot of you are quick to tear down these guys that go out there and do their best for us. I've seen it with Pep, then with Smitty, and more recently you have clowns even hating on Davis and Olsen and they are still on the team.

Y'all hoes ain't loyal.

be honest; you would probably make an excuse even if there were pics of smitty punching cam. That's your agenda. As I said earlier itt, its a culmination of things with him, from other sources who are mega smitty fans themselves, to things that were reported to stuff we saw with our own eyes, it was time to move on from him for Cam's sake.

the fuged up thing about this is that even if it does blow up and become this huge story, smitty is such a fuging media darling and nobody gives a poo about carolina's problems that ppl will exonerate him and take a poo on cam instead. because ppl are stupid and still can't get over him celebrating touchdowns in 2015.

as long as you're not beating women and can sell yourself as the righteous underdog, you are a national treasure.

Uh oh... take cover in your bunker, frash.  You're going to have incoming from the "Cam isn't treated any worse than any other player" crowd soon.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000401575/article/cam-was-big-source-of-frustration-for-steve-smith

From 2014:

Quote

"From what I understand, Cam Newton was a big source of frustration for Steve Smith," NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport said Sunday on NFL Gameday Morning. "In fact, he told close friends he doesn't believe Cam Newton sees the field at all, specifically in the red zone. What Steve Smith told friends is that Cam Newton doesn't think fast enough or isn't precise enough to succeed in the red zone."

I'd be the first to say as a Steve smith Stan, if true releasing him was the right move, but the story itself doesn't really add up, something this severe would get anyone not name luke released the next day. Plus it's coming out 4 years later, interesting nether the less

It never got Smith cut before. Fights never get players cut immediately.

Bronn not only PhillyB is verifying it, I have a source that has, Jase has, and Your GFs favorite huddler said Proehl said something similar.

Yea I have no intentions of winning any popularity contest on here...I just stated what I've heard from a direct source in relation to the topic...people can think what they want but I don't really have any reason to lie or seek attention on here. I haven't felt the need to share that info on here until now, but I believed Philly as soon as I saw it posted.

    • He didn't actually make the playoffs. We had several opportunities to clinch on our own and crapped the bed. We had to wait for Atlanta to win to get us in. We had the tie breaker in a poo division that had 3 teams finish 8-9.  If you go back and look at the games we played, we weren't a dominant offensive team under him as an OC. We beat the Jets 13-7 and barely beat the packers after they failed to convert multiple red zone trips. We relied heavily on converting 4th downs. DC was also extremely slow at recognizing trends in game and was really lacking with clock management.  Was there progress this year? Yes. But most of it was on the defensive side of the ball. Our offense was stagnant with a couple of exceptions. Any improvement from Bryce was minimal and he kept insisting on XL over Coker, and even RB distribution instead of going with the hot hand.  He may be building something, but I don't think we've seen enough to know what that is. It could go either direction. If he insists on being OC, then without a noticeable improvement, yes he needs to be on the hot seat like any OC would. The more jobs you take on the more you have to be judged on. I think he would have a longer leash if he hired a true OC and just focused in being HC.
    • zero percent suprised Luke is a nice guy irl, have never heard anything differently from anyone that's met him.  I have heard mixed reports on Smitty I know one guy on here got to know Deangelo Williams and J stew pretty well back in the day when they used to host events and he said they were nice iirc  I can't imagine Jordan gross is a bad hang, he's hilarious
    • Ran across this bit of fun. As seen on https://www.thesportinggent.com/blogs/dispatches/front-porch-musings-field-ethos-journal (a blog for outdoors gear and clothing)
