I truly appreciate the "let's wait and see" approach given to any Gettleman move and absolutely no Hurney move

I'm glad everyone is freaking out. I just left Vegas. If the Panthers win the SB I'm $1500 richer. If they don't, it'll cost me about the same as a dinner out with the wife. I'll roll those dice every time.

do they mail you the money?

Some of us have rather seen the potential fun in your and your ilks "oh my god! every move by the GM is a portent of doom!" viewpoint of the previous 4 years and have decided to take up your mantle.

Kalil is going to get plenty of great practice going head to head with Peppers and Addison. Maybe the good news is that Addison is really great instead of Kalil really sucks.

He will also get a lot of snaps this preseason against solid defenses. We have Houston, Jacksonville, and Tennessee coming up. They are all stout on the defensive line.

the grain of salt that a preseason game should be taken with cannot be seen with the naked eye, now scale that down to a regular season practice, now scale that down to a practice in the preseason, now scale that down to a non-contact practice in July of all times. it's funny how sports journalism has become so much about lemming leading people to either their greatest hope or the worst fears to confirm how smart they were for calling the shot before it went in. it took like 3 posts into this thread before someone congratulated themselves for this signing being terrible based on some meaningless camp observation. you'll never go broke by betting on the hubris of man.

The only problem with that viewpoint is that I wasn't of that ilk, aside from the Steve Smith fiasco

What are the odds. Need to make a trip to put a bet in.

    • Such a dumb pick and most of us knew it Ladd would’ve been the perfect match with Bryce But instead they draft XL to fill the void at the X spot because we had a 34 year old Adam Thielen. Then a year later we draft a real X WR and move XL inside where he has absolutely no business being for a list of reasons
    • My logic was hopefully a new HC would have a LOT quicker hook for Bryce. But, that is assuming they would even be allowed. I guess that's a call to the owner's box for permission.
    • I’m not overly defending the pick. I was team Stroud by a country mile but I also knew what to expect as far as ceiling goes with Bryce  I had concerns with Bryce’s arm strength and size. Neither seem to overly be an issue. He’s proven to throw with enough anticipation that he makes up for a lack of velocity. I was worried about the way he played in college not translating to the league. Spending 8 seconds behind LOS. I did also think it would take Young a few years for him to reach his full potential. I also think he’s too smart and accurate to flat out bust which all of seems to be pretty accurate Bryce is someone you can absolutely win with. No one thought he’d be the type to carry a well below average supporting cast to a Super Bowl. He’s fully capable of giving you those 4-5 special plays a game that help your team win. And then you have those rare times where he’s the reason you win like in Atlanta.  All good teams have more than just a QB.  Even the teams that are winning this year all have a lot more than what we have. Supporting cast/defense… more than what we have  As far as Morgan goes I 100% agree. Fwiw he was legit team Bryce during the draft process. I know that for a fact. Last years draft is a complete write off. This past draft still up for debate. TMac and Scourton look solid. I can’t remember the last time I saw Princely win a rep and I’m being honest. Ransom has a little value. I think ETN is a nice insurance add. Evans could be a TE2.    I think this offseason Morgan will get aggressive with trying to land a pass rusher. Whether that’s a trade for Crosby, signing Hendrickson, it’s going to be top priority. We need a ILB. I really like Kaden Ellis. Sonny Styles should be in our draft range. We also need a tight end and it would be interesting to see this offseason with Kenyon Sadiq
