It's not out of the realm of possibility.  We'll have to bring our a game regardless of who we play.  Especially this team on Sundays you just never know.

I've always liked Hoyer.

He hasn't gotten a fair shake anywhere he's been. 

While he'll never be considered elite, he is an accurate thrower and he makes good decisions. 

With all that being said, our defense is ready to feast!!

Yep. Even when this team is good, they tend to squeak by in games people think they should win easily, especially early in the season.

Steve Young is a bit of a homer himself, and has scrambled brain syndrome from all the concussions he got during his playing days.

Brian Hoyer has never won on opening day.

Shanahan's offense took almost an entire season to sink in in Atlanta--with a talented and experienced lineup.

Zod has spoken, and predicted a win.

What more do you guys need?

I don't think he's out of line... The Panthers have traditionally struggled on defense the first few weeks. They mess up a few run fits and suddenly they're trying to hang on. They have home field and our pass rushers are old. It's very possible this game looks ugly for us. We should win, but it's not something I would bet much on.

LOL a Ron Rivera coached team, playing on the West coast to open the season, against a new head coach and QB. If this wasnt such a mismatch talent wise I would say no way we win
