All inclusive resorts

Looking to do a 5/6 night trip in March.  Does any one have a suggestion of a place to go? Lots of options and I wouldn't mind a recommendation on a place you have been and enjoyed. Ideally 2000.00 or less total for two people including flights. Any input on where to book website wise to get the best deal would be appreciated as well.

My gf and I went to Cancun in March and rented a cheap Air BnB condo right on the beach with a kitchen. It was like $80 a night. We booked direct flights (Southwest flies to Cancun) and they were like $275 a piece roundtrip. When we got there we bought a bunch of groceries, made our own dinner every night, bought our own booze, did it all ourselves. We went out to eat a few times, went on a few tours and poo. For the week including air fare and lodging I think we spent a grand total of like $1200-1300.

Montego bay Jamaica was really nice.

Came out to 2300$ for everything including plane tickets and a 5 day stay.  Locals were very friendly.  

Aslong as you book in advance most all inclusive trips are fairly cheap for what you get.  ( free beer )

Was for two adults btw..

Close to the airport, a town close by in case you get bored on the "compound", and very nice locals.

Why not cruise? See several places during your trip and all food is typically included (and decent) if you go to the general meal spots on the ships. I think most ships also offer an alcohol pass now too that you can purchase for a certain number of drinks per day or for the duration of the cruise.

Punta Cana comes up cheap and has some high level resorts for a reasonable price.

 

If you can find one that is adults only that is a big plus - much better vacation away from loud families...

me next adult only trip is going back to St. Lucia.  they got 3 Sandals there. 

but cost wise, cruising is generally the best option IMO.

We did Dominican through cheapcarribean and loved it.  We were in Puerto Plata - which I understand to kind of be the "old" resort town whereas Punta Cana is the one people go to now. Either way DR was great and the locals and workers were all nice.
