Lol please explain how this is a dumb thread. You just called a guy who has 500 receiving yards and lead a NFL team in receiving a fat glob, but yes tony point is dumb.

someone mentioned Tolbert being gone - he is the fat glob I mentioned but KB isn't far behind.

If Cam "checks out" because of this, then he just proves all the critics who say he isnt a professional and also proves the fanboys love him not matter what. That would be a shame all the way around.

This organization checked out on him the second he put that Panthers jersey on in New York.

So why the f*ck should Cam keep making up for everyone’s shortcomings?

I hear you but do you think that’s going to happen?

These guys are humans too and Cam continues to watch as this organization does everything in its power to handcuff him.

Wrong or right I just don’t see how he hasn’t said “f*ck this” yet

I think Cam wants to win regardless and will nut up and not make excuses. What happens behind closed doors is another thing. We probably will never know what he’s thinking.

He’s gonna need to nut up. Not saying that’s right or fair just the reality of the situation.

Truth.

Cam's an emotional guy which is what makes him so good when he's "on".  In this case though, you're right that he's got to tough it out.

But he can't help but think that this organization doesn't give a poo about providing him support of any kind on offense and will continue to depend on him sacrificing his body and length of career to continually pull their stupid, lazy asses out of the fire.

Because he is a professional, he signed a contract here, he wants to be the best. Why are people building excuses for him? Why would people like you be such of fan for someone who is as mentally weak as you are suggesting? I dont believe he is but I find it very odd his biggest supporters say he should quit or check out or build any excuse for him to fail and support that effort, or lack thereof. It just makes so little sense. These are things that his critics should say, not the fanboys.

I'm a guy who doesn't give a flying fug about how Cam dresses or how many reporter's feelings he hurts but, in this case, yes, he's got to suck it up.

Because, *specifically* in this case, yes, he's being paid to do a damn job and play football and to do his best on the football field.  (To the people who want to respond that he's also being paid to do press conferences and interviews with reporters I would respond that, yes, that may be true but that doesn't mean that he has to 1. like it and/or 2. even say anything to them of any usefulness at all.)

Yeah, that contract money means you get on the field and do your best and try to win.  If that's not what you want to do, then retire (and I'd be fine with that too since its obvious this organization and his HC/OC don't give a flying buzzard's poo about him or his health.)

And on top of that the fastest way to get hurt REALLY bad is to walk on to a football field of NFL players and half-ass it out there.  THEY. WILL. HURT. YOU. (Hell, they've been trying to hurt him bad for years when Cam is going FULL speed.)

There are no long term plans in place.  No one currently employed by the organization has the foresight (or brain capacity for that matter) to plan for the future.  As long as JR, Hurney and Ron are around, we will always fly by the seat of our pants.

This is the reality. We don't have football minds in the FO and they probably would run a Starbucks into the ground.

I believe so too but I’m also going to respect the human element to this.

If Cam truly feels he’s being done wrong by this organization that he has basically put his life on the line for the last 6.5 seasons I can’t sit here and blame him.

So ya, I do agree with you and I see the sides to the points tiger made but I’m also seeing this other side as well.

Sunday will essentially tell us everything we need to know about where Cam’s head is at

If he gets lit up early he will fold fast.

Cam will play, and will play hard. He’ll still shoulder the blame when everything around him fails and he won’t throw anyone under the bus. He is a leader and that’s what leaders do. I don’t think he’ll be here for another contract, though. I also won’t be surprised if Hurney tries to trade him. It’s becoming quite clear that the panthers are exploring or thinking of going in another direction. The “journeyman QB” will make a reappearance in Charlotte in the near future

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
