This has been a terrible year for us performance wise. We have won games and if we had won this I would have believed but back to reality. The Vikings are going to steamroll us and the Falcons are going to finish us off.

Oddly enough that still leaves us at 10-6. Definitely not bad enough to get any of this incompetent coaching staff out of here..

Its hilarious how many people were flaming everyone predicting a loss in the score prediction thread.

I literally got banned today from a facebook panthers group because i called the defense trash haha. Which they were today and last week.

Homer’s can’t handle reality.

Defense lost us this game

We knew going in the defense wouldn't be able to stop NO. Offense did nothing on the ground and wasted the two 3 and outs the defense forced early. We get the lead and make NO become 1-dimensional. Instead, Kalil gets stupid penalties, Shula calls stupid plays, and we trade possessions until the big Ingram run. NO never looked back after that.

NO's run defense is AIDS, yet Carolina was unable to do anything on the ground. Factor in the many, many drops, and the offense is a bigger reason for the loss.

So wait......did I hear the announcers correctly.....did they say that Ron said this game wouldn't decide the division. HELLO RONNY BOY, we win and we are in the lead and decide our own destiny...... WE LOSE LIKE WE DID AND WE HAVE TO RELY ON OTHERS. This game was HUGE in deciding the division's outcome. We now have to hope the Saints poo the bed in the coming weeks as well as us winning out pretty much. PLUS, this game was huge in the wildcard running as well with how tight the race is in the NFC currently. I understand seeing it as just another game afterwards since you have to move on and focus on the next team but damn the way we played today was just like Ron making it out to be......just another basic game.

they aren't mutually exclusive. Players made their share of errors along with the coaching. complete poo show

I hear you, but the players are often a reflection of the staff. Who wants to give it their all when your coach doesn't even trust you to go out and try to get any points whatsoever before halftime with 2 timeouts with the division on the line?

Still the #5 seed. Philly will beat Seattle tonight and we will be the only 8-4 team. Solidly in the #5 spot, i.e. division out of reach now since we are effectively 2 games back and the Saints play the Jets at home and Tampa Bay (we won't go 4-0). I think NO will split with Atlanta and win the other two. If we go 2-2, we still have a really good shot at the playoffs, 1-3 and we are out. 3-1 and we should be a lock.

Thanks!! I'm happy we still have a shot

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
