He led the Panthers to the best season by an expansion team in NFL history.  I still marvel that we were one win away from being .500 in our FIRST year.  When he was named HC, I remember reading an Observer article about who he was, how he grew up mowing neighbors yards for free, etc.

He was a class act.

 

Now he is the DC of a woeful Packers defense, but I hope some in Charlotte will remember the job he did in our first season.

I think you are misunderstanding this post. Unless I am mistaken, the OP is not saying he wants him as a coach, just saying that he is coming back in his capacity as DC for the Packers.

Capers was the one who set us back years  by giving up several draft picks for Sean Gilbert. 

He was ok while here. But his defense at GB has been an embarrassment. I don’t know how he’s kept his job all these years.

Two words. Aaron Rodgers.

He is the reason majority of those coaches are still there.
