Feel bad for Jerry. I really do. But I think it has come down to it. We’ve shown to be an above average franchise but not elite. Always good but not good enough.

Why do homers think this?

According simply to W/L since inception, the Panthers are in the bottom 33% of the NFL. Think about that.

In order for us to get a better owner, over the next 25 years he/she must:

1. Win the same amount of games as you lose around, .500, to become ‘average’.

2. Don’t sexually harass women.

3. Don’t be racist.

And yet you idiots think everything is going to poo lol this is a GREAT day to be a panther fan!!!!

Pretty much this.  Richardson stayed out of running the team for the most part.  People will miss him if we end up with someone terrible like Jimmy Haslam.

If he was truly hands off like you said he wouldn't be playing favorites with staff and firing GMs like Gettleman and bringing back yes-men like Hurney.  Plus I think many here suspect he was behind pushing for certain egregious contract extensions for "family" players through that aforementioned yes-man...

Wow bye bye panthers, Charlotte will miss you!

To you people thinking the team will move. JR will be in charge of the sale meaning he will choose someone who won't move the team. He will also have a contract that states the team won't be moved that the new owner must sign. All of these things were in his will and the fact he's alive means it will be done exactly that way.

Even so Charlotte is the 2nd largest banking city in the USA. There is tons of money here and according to reports we are getting 2000 people moving here every month. This city was a small market but that's changing fast. If you don't believe me the traffic alone should give you an idea. I am a 3rd generation Charlotean and this city has and is changing big time. It would be foolish to pull out of such a growing market place.

Teams that will move are those without fans and without a growing economy. That's not this team.
