Schefter - Giants interviewed Gettleman today

Can't blame the Giants for sticking with familiarity, but at the same time it's going to be mostly more of what they had already in the GM they just fired. The league is changing, and passing by the Reese's and Gettleman's. Not to mention they are going to need a QB, and last I checked Cam Newton isn't walking through that door.

umm that superbowl had to do with the amazing seasons of 3 guys. Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly, and Josh Norman, who were all drafted by Hurney.

to actually say DG put together that superbowl team is highly misleading.

Gettleman filled out a lot of that roster. To say that he didn't is highly misleading.  I don't want him back here. I want a new GM

You're ignoring Short and Star who both had great years. Both Gettleman guys.

And Turner and Norwell who protected Cam all year. Gettleman guys

And Oher who rejuvenated his career (sucks he got injured in 2016, that had a big impact on our success)

And coleman who had 7 picks

And Charles Tillman whom Gettleman signed on a one year deal who played his heart out until his leg gave out.

And Jared Allen who he traded for to sure up the D-Line when injuries struck.

And Roman Harper who wasn't the best but was damn solid contributor for the defense and a strong leader for a young secondary.

And Ted Ginn who lead the team in receptions and TDs.

And Jericho Cotchery who was clutch all year.

3 guys don't make a team. Hurney was great at getting 2 or 3 great talents and then putting poo around them. Gettleman was great at finding solid contributers to put around those great guys, and doing it at a discount price.

Kawann Short was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important to that 2015 team than Josh Norman.

Michael Oher was more important to that 2015 team than Josh Norman.

Hell, I could argue that Kurt Coleman was equally as important, if not more so, to that 2015 team than Josh Norman.

But, yeah, lets break that bank for a cornerback that plays in zone coverage 85% of the time.

You are high, we literally won 3 games because of josh. Coleman benefited from josh's  play, he has been crap since then.

Wish Gettleman had the chance to draft in the top 10 of every draft.

Hurney seems to always end up picking from the top while Gettleman mainly the bottom 25.

Wonder why that’s the case.

Lies. Most of Hurney picks weren't in the top 10. By the way, he hit on those lower picks also. Gamble, Beason, Williams.

Something Gettleman never did.
