Roughly 24 mill in cap space, who stays..who goes

Team needs an overhaul, getting old and slow at many positions, jags all over the place. Approximately 24 million in cap space. Your our next GM (bye Hurney), what is the game plan to fix this roster and not break the bank.

I think this team was built over the past several years to beat Seattle and New England.

During our success the Saint and Falcons built rosters to beat us. We need to start rebuilding our team to beat the Saints and Falcons.

The CJ move is a no brainer. The others could be negotiated.

Team certainly doesn't need an overhaul.

Need to retain Norwell. Keeping Star would be nice.

Other needs can be met via draft or reasonable free agents.

Getting Samuel and Byrd back.

Hall and Elder were basically red shirted.

Team definitely has needs, but not this black hole.

Offensive line will be solid outside of Matt Kalil if we keep Norwell.

sign norwell,

sign star if affordable

cut M Kalil.

get playmaking NFL wide receivers that don't just fall down. (not though FA because those are almost always bust).

get much faster at safety position (through FA if possible)

cut CJ,

cut mike adams,

ban Silatolu from even trying out for the team.

BTW what is the love affair with Silatolu?  One of the best thing Gettleman ever did and he brought him back.

Does he have pictures no one should see?

Spotrac has us just shy of 18 million in space and does not include the 18 rookie class as best I can tell. This does however include the 8.5 million saved by trading Benjamin.

Using that link will help you see the cuts that make sense financially. Take the current cap hit and deduct the dead money from it( dead money is listed in parentheses. You can spread the dead money over 2 years if you’d like).

“Team is getting old and slow at many positions”

But but but Gettleman left us in a great position...

Like this front office you guys can never see what’s in front of you until it’s too late.

WR is priority number 1 this offseason and any move made to free up space should be done so with an eye on a specific FA. Hurney also needs to find a legit day 1 plug and play stud in the draft (Calvin Ridley) to help save money. We can’t afford to find a bunch of below average players in the draft, we have enough of those.

Yeah let’s cut Matt Kalil and carry an absurd amount of dead money...

Brilliant

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
