Ron Rivera likely gone with new owner

I like Rivera, I’d keep him as an HC. But at this point my disdain for Shula is overriding that sentiment. If it takes getting rid of Rivera to get a fresh offensive scheme and coaching in here so be it.

Rivera is in his own way with his loyalty because I really just think he needs a new OC.

This.  Players love RR and he’s the level headed counterpart or Cam’s emotional swings.

But if it takes RR getting the axe to rid us of Shula, then so be it

New ownership wants to make money on their investment.  The way to make money is to win games and sell gear.  Firing Ron Rivera, a proven winner, will not help either cause.  They will want to change as little as possible the first couple of years and milk Cam's popularity as long as they can.

I have a love-hate relationship with Ron.  Mostly love,  but the hate comes with his refusal to praise Shula, pat him on his back and send him on his way.

I'd hate to see him go, but would understand completely.  I think a new owner will be hard pressed to fire Ron as a part of a housecleaning.  As such,  I can easily see him/her keeping Rivera for another year. And if that's the case,  I can easily see Rivera earning more.  He's not a great coach,  but he's certainly good,  and greatness is not out of the question (especially if Ron becomes more flexible in his thinking).
