Terrelle Pryor anyone?

He bet on him self this year and failed in Washington. I would say partly due to injury and the fact that Washington is a dumpster fire. I am not saying to bring him in here to be a #1, more just for competition. If he would come on a team friendly contract I would be all for it. He is 6'4 with sub 4.4 speed. He has a ton of upside and way less of a risk then someone like Josh Gordon. (Who by the way is not a FA for everyone drooling over him) I would be happy with FA/Draft #1, Funchess, Pryor, and Samuel / Byrd who ever can stay healthy.

Haven't really seen his name mentioned so wondering what you guys think about him.

I 100% want Pryor in a panthers uni.  I know he had issues this year, but the offense in Washington doesnt fit him.  He is the kind of receiver that Cam likes, he isn't a timing precision route runner, he is big and uses his size well.  Cam waits for a guy to get open before letting loose which is what he does well while The redskins offense is all timing based and designed to throw to spots.  He basically had a 1000 yard season with cody kessler throwing to him while doing exactly what cam likes to see in receivers.  IMO, get him here and watch him flourish.

Looks like a pretty mixed bag...what were we supposed to take away from this?

i thought he did well as a WR in his fourth week of playing the position against one of the better CBs in the league.except for a couple passes at the end looked like he was giving norman more than he could handle.

I think Pryor is a #2 at best, but thats a stretch plus we have Funchess who is a #2 with potential to be a decent #1. Pryor is a good deep threat with good speed and I believe he would be an asset here, but not the do-it-all rare breed WR that so many are looking for(good luck finding that guy).

    • I am high, but that’s besides the point! The blue line is not good right now. I’ve said it all year. I don’t think this group meshes well. Slaven has been just OK Niki up and down Miller up and down ghost and Walker have been your most consistent guys. Maybe it comes together more towards the playoffs
    • I was expecting to see more cap room moves by now, which may be to suggest that we are not going to be that aggressive.  I have mixed emotions about that (because I think we have 3 needs on D and 3 needs on O--starters).  If you look to the draft for 3 starters, that is ambitious.  We need 6
    • Yeah we shouldn’t be competing with teams, bidding wise, to sign a WR. There will be one for us and our budget.  I keep saying, how many balls will there be to go around anyway? One thing good I will say for this offense is the ball has been spread around at times. Seems like I remember seeing a large number of guys have caught passes in a game. Or been targeted at least. 3 RBs 4 or 5 WRs 2-3 TEs type of stat lines. 10-11 guys.  Not every week but that happens.    As far as WR in general, we need the smaller agile and quicker component to compliment what is there. After that it should be about depth, having good backups for the starters so we can run things consistently still, if a guy is out for a week or two. That is especially important in game where you have to finish the game with who you made active.
