Cam Newton confounds both his fans and his haters — but he’s not so different from the rest of us.

The author's a female. I think.

lol makes no difference. I am too.

Of the few 'facts' in the article, one is terribly wrong. Cam did not steal a laptop. Which tells me that the author did nothing more than daydream his her thoughts while sitting on his her mother's couch and, somehow, figured they were important enough to commit to paper/screen and share.

Also, people should leave race out of things too unless absolutely necessary.

The most racist misogynistic thing I have ever heard. I should beat you to death for even thinking this.

Truthfully I miss Cam on Sundays

he might be great that day.  He might be awful. He is never, ever boring

For  years, he has had to do something with nothing.  I found Stewart’s comments about the offense very telling and very honest

i look forward to Norv and hope he can make Newton the best he can be

i look forward to this management getting him at least one decent receiver, a true downhill running back and a keeping a decent line...you know things a lot of these QBs have had for years

Cam is Cam  and anyone who watched that playoff game against NO and didn’t see who is, well, I don’t know what to say, get another team maybe.

Cam is Cam and I am glad he is who he is. He doesn't claim to be perfect and he embraces his roots and the future for his family. No matter what the public thinks he seems to be a good role model a human being who is spirited and it shows. Loves God, family and friends from what little I have seen. The public dislikes this and wants to strip that smug which is a smile, break that awesome body, which is blessing from God his talent, but most of all break his spirit which I see as a man who knows his maker and gives glory to him each time he is on the field ..he shares this with kids, strangers, family and friends. It's too bad that most people live negativity and are truly envious of him. I had a person say I can' stand Cam newton I asked Why? He replied he got more money than me and u put together. I said you had the same ability to make money just as he has. Why don' you stop watching others money and apply that time to earning yours.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
