It wouldn't be a shock to see us tag Gano. Punters and kickers are probably the most often franchise tagged players across the NFL.

None of this will matter. A new owner will come in and everything will be different. I'm hoping for a winning culture. It'll be at least 2 years before we are a top franchise again.

You forgot, @Jeremy Igo, to mention Morrison leaving. Which begs the question, why did Morrison leave suddenly and Gettleman suddenly fired? I think it'll come out in the investigation but my guess is that they both pointed out JR's behavior to him.

You definitely won't see Norwell or Star franchised. Last year's franchise tag number for an OL was $14.27M and for a DT it was $13.39M. Those figures will almost certainly go up for 2018. The number for a kicker or punter was $4.84M.
