Josh Norris Mock Draft

Interesting take here.

24. Carolina Panthers - TE Dallas Goedert, South Dakota State - It is a bit difficult to project for a team with a new offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator and potentially new general manager. Adding pieces on offense is important, and Goedert can be used in multiple tight end sets and win in individual matchups at multiple levels of the field.

Like the player...not the pick

No idea how good this guy will be at the NFL level . I'd rather draft a TE and RB in the mid rounds where the value will be alot better

Getting anyone that you don't believe is a blue chip day 1 starter in R1 is a waste in my opinion

I acknowledge that if he ends up being really good then sure it would be worth it . But R1 is too high for a TE from school I never heard of , your playing with fire with your very first pick

I couldn't disagree with McShay and other analysts more on Goedert. I've watched a lot on him and I really feel like this guy is a reach. Ranking him over Hayden Hurst is just trying to be cute and clever. I'm not buying it. Goedert is no better than a 3rd round prospect IMHO.

I could get on-board with a great TE prospect at 24, but there just isn't one in this year's class. Give me OL or DL. Please and thank you.

Have you seen Mark Andrews from Okla? That dude wouldn't be a reach at all in the first. If Carolina goes TE in the first, it needs to be him.

Hurst and Andrews both seem like potential NFL starters, but I don't love the idea of either in the first. Not when plenty of other talent should be available at 24 on the lines.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
