Ironically out of 25 we could use 17 of the 25.

#2 LeVeon Bell - RB - Not a chance in hell we sign him.  Too much $$$$

#3 DeMarcus Lawrence - DE - He won't leave Dallas

#5 Andrew Norwell-  G - Well deserved ranking.   Hope we resign him.

#6 Allen Robinson - WR - I know many on here value this guy.  Says he's the only true #1 Wideout available.

#7 Malcolm Butler - CB - Personally I think he is overrated I am sure there would be some debate.

#8 Jarvis Landry - WR - Another player that has polarized this forum.   Personally not interested.

#10 Shelton Richardson - DT - Losing Star could bring some interest but he'll probably command more than we can afford.

#11 Ezekiel Ansah - DE - We need edge rushers.  His 2016 performance might make him affordable.

#12 Rashaan Melvin - CB - I have no opinion one way or the other.

#13 Lamarcus Joyner - S- Veteran Safety could help our defense.

#15 Kyle Fuller - CB - I like our young CBs and think they'll do better with Washington but Veteran CB are a hot commodity.

#16 Patrick Robinson - CB - 30 Can handle outside or slot.  Won't command high dollar due to his age.

#17 Nate Solder - OT - LT but according to the article he is slowing down.  Probably a better LT than what we currently have.

#20 Nickell Robey-Coleman - CB - Slot CB - No opinion one way or the other.

#22 Ryan Jensen - C - 1 year starter.   Rather keep Norwell and get Kalil to restructure somehow.

# 23 Justin Pugh - G - Once again Rather keep Norwell.  Pugh won't command $$$ that Norwell will get.

#24 Jerick McKinnon - RB - Not our style RB that we need

#25 Alex Okafor - DE Coming off an injury.  Not really interested.  Same injury that ruined Jon Beason's career.

From this list if we can keep Norwell and get Ansah I'd be thrilled. Only other name on the list I'd try to shell out some money for is Allen Robinson but I'm 99% sure the Jags will keep him one way or another (tag or long term deal). I really like Sammy Watkins here too but same thing Rams aren't letting him walk after trading for him.

So keep Norwell, sign Ansah and then maybe add a WR or two like a Mike Wallace, Marquise Lee, Paul Richardson, etc.

If Kyle Fuller isn't crazy expensive i'd love him here. Still young but a proven outside corner. Ansah worries me. He has had numerous injuries the past two seasons and there have been questions about his actual age since he was drafted. I've seen reports out there that say he is already 30.

It really sucks that the WR market this year is so poor when it is our biggest need.

Ansah we might be able to get at a decent price tag utilizing his 2016 performance as leverage.

Safety is a bit thin in the top 25 as well.

Norwell would put us in top free agent signing of the year, if we can just resign him.

Lol....this whole age thing with some of these athletes is crazy.

@DaveThePanther2008. Agree with all of your commentary.

I want Robsinson. He isn't coming here.

I want Norwell back. Please.

Ansah and Joyner are the only other ones I'm looking at.

Not on the list but probably worth a consideration depending on contract and demand are Morgan Burnett and Kenny Vacaro.

Between FAs and the Draft, a decent GM will land us at least one new safety - maybe two, a new TE, a new DE and a new RB. I feel like those are must haves.

    • I think you've nailed what we need right here.  Rodriguez and Thieneman would be my choices, Thieneman in the first and Rodriguez in the second. Let everyone else eat up their picks on the crop of WRs and linemen. Then make a push in free agency for the top center.
    • Vernon Gholston vibes?  had 14 sacks at Ohio State in 2007; 45 games in the NFL:  0 sacks.
    • I want a high impact player, but a true FS who could qb the secondary might be more effective than we realize.  I don't think Moehrig is that guy (I think he is overpaid, however).  I want a flashy, high impact player, but we could use defensive qbs at ILB  and FS.  By upgrading skill AND adding vision and leadership, could we get better than if we added an edge or OT? I am not sure that I believe this myself, but I try to look at things from all perspectives.  Here is some devil's advocacy stuff: 1. EDGE-We are freaking out about the pressure we put on the qb from the edge position.  However, Jones II and Wonnum missed a total of 22 games. Scourton was a rookie and Princely was a third rounder.  Wharton sucked (not sure if he was used properly--a hybrid who can rush from the 5 tech or 3, etc), and this put more pressure on Scourton and the other edge players.  This year, we get Jones II, Scourton should continue to evolve with Princely.  Perhaps another rookie is not what we need.  Maybe a veteran situational pass rusher.  2. OFFENSIVE TACKLE:  Of course, we need an OT, but the draft is loaded with OTs that can pass block but struggle in run blocking--so a rookie at LT might not be the answer for a team that wants to run first.  What to do?  I am not sure.  I see Nijman returning after testing the market, but who knows? 3.  INSIDE LB:  A huge need, regardless of how you spin it.  However, I see a few free agents who would be solid here, and I see the second round having a few ILBs with starting potential.  I do not see an ILB worth the first round pick unless a freak falls to us. 4.  With veteran defensive backs, a young, intelligent FS could fit in nicely. Intelligence is key--like the way Luke made the front 7 better. "A good, intelligent free safety (FS) acts as the "quarterback of the defense" transforming a unit from good to great by acting as the last line of defense, communicating pre-snap adjustments, and anticipating plays before they happen. By reading the quarterback's eyes and diagnosing offensive schemes, an intelligent FS acts as a "centerfielder" who can neutralize deep threats and mitigate errors made by cornerbacks or linebackers."
