Has had around or over 100 tackles each year and can get to the QB. We needed LB depth with TD leaving and Luke concussions.

That's what I'm thinking as well. Outside of our big three we only really have Mayo as a notable backup. I'm fine with this pick.

Figured we'd start going depth around here.

We got 4 guys who could have big or supporting roles for this team. God bless the top heavy QB draft class.

Dunno if it was luck or Hurney being smarter than before but we honestly got some real talent on the team this draft and I'm honestly stoked.

This is Thomas Davis' replacement at Safety, I mean LB....errrr safety, no wait.

What better time to take a flyer on guy than a 5th rounder. It he hits we have a keeper. Otherwise he struggles to make the practice squad like anyone this high in the draft.  How about he is our Shaq junior in the event we don't pick up Shaq's 5th year option.

Panthers have already optioned to take Shaq's 5th.

Sooooooo we drafted a LB in the 5th that was projected a undrafted FA.

When there was a OT who was projected rd 2-3 (Jamarco Jones) still on the board and went right after us

Hurney going to Hurn.

Hope he proves us wrong but so far he looks like he hasnt learned anything from the last time. And cant draft himself out of a wet paper bag beyond the 1st round

Projected by whom?

The reason I say this---the projections are wrong, not the GMs for not drafting according to the projections.

How many teams passed on the OT from Ohio state since his projection window--

All of them.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
