Bad review for an old friend

Stew will certainly be a great mentor for Saquon.  Missing him in Black and Blue in terms of his personality and locker room presence.  But in terms of on field, it was right to let him go. I do hope he has some success with the Giants and can close out his career with the respect he deserves.

Stews there to teach Barkley and Gallman the finer points of playing in NFL (like stay away from OBJ's punk ass) and to help keep Eli upright. It's worth noting that he's still one of the better blocking RB's out there and the Giant's don't have a FB on the roster.

Also, I didn't realize that they picked up Scoot, I liked him! Give em hell Scoot!

We didn't run a read option based offense with Chud in 11-12

Then we aren’t running one now. Rivera had to specifically scale back the zone/read in the second half of the season(2012) because Chud overused it.

Stewart has spent his career doing little during training season, then showing up at games and producing. I don't think these people get that.

I think he's got a year or two of decent production left, just like DeAngelo did when called upon in Pittsburgh. He is more prone to injuries than the average player, which is the bigger risk of the contract to me.

Williams ypc in our read option from 2011-2014 was 4.35. His two seasons with Pittsburgh it was 4.0 ypc

Not to mention that Deill got lazy and out of shape here inbtgst big contract.  After we cut him, he list about 25 lbs during the off-season and showed up in Pitt in great shape.

Also his one bad ypc year coincided with our OL being hit really hard with injuries in its first post Gross season

people have this misconception that deangelo williams got into shape after carolina cut him and went to pittsburgh like a man on a mission.

that's not even remotely true.

deangelo williams arrived at pittsburgh in the same lazy shape he was in when he left carolina.

mike tomlin demanded he be at 220lbs or less before the start of that season's training camp.

Same thing.......He got in shape for the season...something that his lazy ass did not do here after he got that big contract.
