We need to suck it up and try signing Breeland again post-Cockrell

I read some list of remaining free agents and drc formerly from nyg  was about the only one I recognized.   Can we even name others (other than breeland)?

I'm guessing we will be looking for udfa still out there and or waiver wire pickups.

Also, there may be a reason no one else has signed him. Ya know?

I think he only recently got a full medical stamp of approval. Since then he's had multiple visits.

Haven't followed him closely enough to know if there's been confirmation of offers or lack of offers, but with this many teams bringing him in, his odds are decent.

The Ravens news sounds good for him too, so we'll see.

Seymour and Bradberry are still young and developing with potential. Captain is solid at nickel and Elder will provide depth there. I expect Jackson will take over for Seymour before the year is over with Gunter being our veteran depth. Ross is a young CB who will provide additional depth and I believe Gauldon playing nickel in college as well if we need him. We will be ok...

this.

See above.

Breeland was fairly well coveted early in free agency before his health issues came to light.  Nobody would have expected him to be available this late in free agency minus that issue. Once he was declared healthy, a lot of teams moved to bring him in.

Looking like he'll probably have a job soon, and likely not with us.

Breeland doesn't really like us very much.

I’m sure the feeling is mutual, and people who think the panthers are going to attempt to sign him obviously aren’t paying attention.

Panthers invested time and resources in signing him to fill a need - he hurt himself being irresponsible and then wasn’t honest and forthcoming about his injury. I’m sure the entitled athlete blames the panthers for not being able to cash in on a nice $27 million contract.

Bingo. I see that Trenchfoot is really overplaying his hand on Twitter, boasting about all the tough decisions he has to make. Hard pass.

Cockrell was a backup. He wasn't on his 4th team in 5 years because he was elite. The sky is OK.

Yeah agree with this as well - losing cockrell obviously hurts the depth and it sucks he had a devastating injury but who cares he won’t be playing for us next year and honestly he may never play for the panthers. Not a big loss by any means.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
