It would not have mattered if it was called a catch. Those refs were clearly going to give the game to Denver. Payton was promised a SB.

The next play was the entire game, if that was called a catch we have a real chance to win that game.

Of course it was. Anybody with a fuggin set of eyes could see that. The fix was in before the game even started. If it wasn't that call, it was going to be another. There was NO WAY Peyton doesn't come out of that superbowl without a W.

It would've took an act of God to win that game. I knew it was over when Talib was balanty offsides on Ganos field goal and no one batted an eye.

Honestly me going into it expecting for them to hand one to Peyton is probably why I've been able to handle that lost so well. I'd hate to be the team that plays Brady in his last appearance

Yep.

It was that missed call and Gano’s missed fg when I knew we weren’t going to win.

It sucks, because we beat that Denver team 9 out of 10 times. I just hope we get another shot at a super bowl. I want one before I die. I’d love to witness multiple SB wins, but give me one and I’m satisfied

People say one play don't decide a game but the Superbowl is different.  It's the biggest stage in the world and momentum is huge for guys.  THat play just took the wind out of our sails and gave the Broncos the edge they needed.  Conspiracy theory time: Peyton Manning was the ref favorite and bias was present.

    • Most of the talk revolving around Baker's injury is speculation. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bucs have been gaming the injury report but Bowles has already been fired from one head coaching gig. He's decidedly mediocre at best as a head coach. I just don't want to see the Bucs upgrade. But if they do fire Bowles and hire a first time head coach I think things could get bumpy with Baker Mayfield at the helm sooner or later. As far as Coen it's still early. I remember when Brian Daboll was a hot name his first couple seasons with the Giants. Now he's unemployed. It's a marathon not a sprint. We're seeing less and less coaches with true staying power. Or at least certainly less that don't ultimately hit a wall by year 3 or 4. I don't think we're gonna see too many John Harbaugh's and Mike Tomlin's in the coming years. Too much outside noise and too little patience nowadays.
    • Frank what are you even talking about? He was the #1 QB in his high school class and the #2 overall recruit. Why would he be at a smaller school? Dude threw for dang near 5000 yards his sophomore season at Alabama with Jamison Williams and John Metchie. Good players but more speed than skilled. Maybe that's this dude's problem. Panthers keep bringing in big body WRs, but maybe he needs wiry fast guys instead.  CJ Stroud threw for over 4000 that season too. Care to look at his receivers?
    • You can blame DC or you can blame Bryce but reality is it’s both of them. Bryce is making the decision to check down so much but DC isn’t committed to the run 🤷‍♂️
