About that Team President job...

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

If there's been a single word written about candidates, interviews or anything else related to the job, I haven't seen it.

I assume this process is still proceeding, but either it's going really slowly or they're being really secretive.

(Be vewy quiet...I'm hunting executives)

This clickbaity thread title ranks up there with some of Igo’s best in All-Pro.

Not meant to be.

I'd originally planned to just title the thread "Team President" but I thought that would give the impression that I had news when I don't. Hence, why I chose this title instead.

Tepper strikes me as a purposeful individual.  He probably has a short list but doesn’t want to rush as it may seem like too much too soon.  I suspect change will be deliberate albeit subtle.  I would think the job functions can and is being done by other individuals within the org.

He needs to assess the specific things his pres need to do and clearly delineate because I suspect the lines are blurred now.  Nothing worse than a new guy/girl coming in with the perception that he is encroaching on someone else’s turf.

It’s worth a discussion anyway.

But I couldn’t resist; seeing the use of ellipsis in thread title reminds me of some All-Pro purpose driven clickbait threads.

I'm thinking that whomever he has his eye on is already employed with another team and that team isn't willing to give them up just yet.

That's a possibility.

Voth reported some weeks back that he had two candidates in mind, but we never heard who they were or much of anything about them.

And of course, if the were unattached, there'd be no barriers to delay their hiring.

Who knows?

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
