You better tell that to the 70,000+ fans down in Atlanta that show up to watch United play....just sayin' that the MLS is doing better than ever.  Atlanta United is killing it and I bet Arthur Blank is loving it.  Tepper knows what he's doing.  He has a long term vision for Charlotte.

Yeah, that's pretty amazing. Great fan base down there. My point is, the soccer being played is awful, in comparison to European leagues.

That'll change if revenue and media exposure keep trending up.

For sure. Austin is getting an MLS team and the whole city was buzzing yesterday over the name, logo, color reveal

im thinking Tepper wants some World Cup games at BOA in 2026 too

Oh yeah, in comparison to Europe, no doubt.  No arguments from me here on that.

However, awful is a bit harsh b/c outside of England, Germany, Spain, Italy and maybe France, the MLS is just as good as any other countries domestic league(s).  Anyhow, I digress on all that.  The most important take away here is that the Carolinas, and Charlotte in particular, should be thrilled for what Tepper might do/mean for the local economy.  Like you said just a bit ago, "These are great times we're living in bro's", haha

I know fans from Wilmington that regularly travel to Atlanta MLS games.  Build it and they will come.

Quite the job-hopper. Doesn't scream like someone who will stick around. At least he has experience though.

But you guys worried about the Panthers ever moving into a new stadium needn't. Dude couldn't get NYC FC out of Yankee Stadium, lol. A place not at all designed for soccer.

Why do we care?

Hell, I'll rep a Tepper soccer team by donning some gear, especially if it's cool and has a cool logo.

I'd imagine that it would be called Carolina something, which would be cool with me.

I've never really been a soccer guy, but if Tepper is building a good Panthers product and soccer product, I might take some level of interest (even if it's only casual).
