Panthers Will Start Moton at RT; Sirles LT Against Patriots.

Aside reports that said that Moton would be a LT and Sirles a RT, looks like they're going the route of keeping Moton at his more natural position.

If you want my opinion, I think it's smart. It's far better to gamble on the LT situation than worry about both tackle positions. I like Moton a ton, but he's always been a RT or G in college and hasn't had much experience at all at LT. Gross even

The Eagles basically did this with Lane Johnson last year. Kept their best tackle at his natural position despite another tackle going down. Their Oline stood strong and they went to the Superbowl.

I know we all want Matt Kalil out (me included), but at the same time if we want Cam to remain upright it's better not to gamble and keep the players at the positions they're best at.

Dude looks solid. Don’t move him out again. Matt can play right tackl or ride the pine.

Unfortunately, Sirles looked good before getting hurt. It’ll be nice if Williams gets back. Williams is 100% a RT. He was lost when they tried him at LT.

moton and williams.....what could have been

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
