That's the thing.  It's not like he'd have been competing with Cam Newton.  Zero chance of that.

We chose Taylor Heinicke over him.

Same size as Cam, not as athletic. I like him as a backup.

Paxton Lynch is the most mind-boggling Elway pick to this day.

You'd think a former QB would be able to recognize decent QB talent. Apparently, with Elway, that hasn't been the case so far. And Paxton Lynch is the equivalent of Jimmy Clausen for them.

Elway's quarterback picks are certainly tall.  Unfortunately for Denver, they're also not very good.

Now we don't need to be insulting Clausen, he lasted at least 5 years in the league.
