check out CJ last year vs. the Cowboys

That route he ran at 1:15 though...

He's surprisingly really good out of the backfield.  IMO, that will be the biggest difference between him and Stewart.  McCaffrey is obviously our #1 receiving back, but we can still depend on Anderson in that regard too if need be.  Doubt we felt the same, or were as comfortable, with Stewart in that role.

Loved watching their "All Everything" LB Sean Lee take bad angles, get blocked out of plays, and pretty much look lost in that video.

He was a beast years ago but he injuries have taken their toll... Absolutely amazing that anyone (Cowgirls fans) can mention him in the same breath as Luke, let think he's better.

I don’t know if many people know this but Dallas had one of the best defenses in the NFL last year and basically has the same team as before.

very underrated defense and also a team that has one of the best running backs in the game. Add a QB that can run as well too that. Any team that can run the ball well and has a decent defense has a great chance to win every week.

Do not sleep on the Cowboys!

Gonna play devils advocate for a second.

I'm concerned about the amount of touches CMC is going to get and the lack of touches CJ is going to get. I just get the feeling the team views him as a secondary piece and CMC as the feature back. I think Christian is a stud don't get me wrong, but I think the team really intends to have him touch the ball 20+ times a game and 5-7 for CJ. I believe if we do this Christian's productivity will drop over the course of the season, we really need to be more of a two back offense.

Sarcasm?

Their defense was middle of the pack last year.  Not horrible, but not one of the best.

Dallas' defense finished #8 overall last year, but they had a very uneven season as a unit. Their offense and defense hardly ever synced at the same time last year.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
