Greg Olsen (foot) is expected to miss a significant chunk of time, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Evaluations ongoing to see how long he's out but it's clear he'll be down a while.

Who cares by then that's 8 weeks without him not counting bye week. We lose a great blocker and pass catcher. Ian Thomas can catch but so far I haven't seen good blocking from either backup tes. We lost Williams on oline for season. This will really impact our season right here.

I beg to differ, one of the surprising attributes I've noticed from the rookie tight-end has been his blocking. We definitely haven't been looking at the same games.

Hate to be that guy but that large group of people that wanted to wait to extend Olsen...... this is why.

Fluke poo happens to anyone but when you're an aging player and coming off an injury the likelihood of these things increases.

This is a blow but if there's one bright side is we already adjusted to a season without Greg last season with a worse OC and supporting cast.

The news on Williams is way more concerning. We can replace Greg's production on the roster. We can't replace Williams on the roster. We need a move at a starter quality RT now.

It's possible we've seen the last of Greg on the field.    Not sure someone that knows he has an announcing career waiting on him deals with a nagging injury like this over and over.

Even if Thomas steps enough it won’t be enough. Out of all the offensive players not named Cam this is possibly the worst that can happen
