1. Can you read? and 2. Have you ever watched a Panthers game before?

If you want a pissing match you need to find someone else. I don't do that. I watched every Panthers game ever played with the exception one in 2002. I was in surgery so I apologise for that one. And I've been a member here since before the reboot. Now if you can prove me wrong about my statement I'll be glad to apologise for my mistake. I'm old and sometimes make a few.

We can't force feed CMC check downs constantly. It's a good safety vavle but we shouldn't have to rely on it so much

This is  my only real complaint about the offense.  Way to many underneath passes.  I like not forcing it, but either our routes are bad, or our receivers can't get open, or our qb is choosing the underneath stuff to much.  Probably some combo of the three.

Newton still looks just a little bit off on some of his throws (primarily deep ones) but he had a good game today. His receivers certainly didn't do him any favors.

His last pass to DJ Moore was definitely catchable. Can't ask more of him than that in that situation.

at around 35 drop backs he'd been hit or harassed 23 times. No consistent Threat @ WR. Being put in a position to HAVE to pass because the God Luke and the defense were abused by Matt Ryan and Quinn....AGAIN. May have played a little into it.

Said it before: The one thing we've counted on for years as Panther fans was the defense. This game they looked terrible.

Any style of offense, not just Turner's, is going to look better and have it easier when the defense is doing their job. Today, that just wasn't the case.

I mean, yeah, the offense played ok but the Falcons were super beat up on defense and we didn't really take advantage until late. Where were the explosive plays in the first three quarters against a team down two safeties and a linebacker?

Sitting on the bench with DJ Moore.

I don't see the issue with the checkdowns to CMC on 1st down getting 5+ yards. The issue was following that up with dumb penalties and derailing drives.

And as fans we should know better by now than to expect Cam can win no matter what.

Pundits harp on his completion percentage and then try to crap on it now.

Cam played his a$$ off and got let down all around.

McC got his 22 touches. For almost 140 yards. Does it really matter how he got them? He averages more per reception than per run. So why not use the pass to move the ball. Also, as a pass catcher, there is a much larger chance of him breaking off a chunk play.

One thing that baffled me was in the 3rd quarter on a crucial drive the Panthers were backed up near their end-zone I believe it was 3rd and 2 and Norv decides to go empty backfield and Cam throws a back shoulder pass to Funchess who drops it.

Why not hit Mccaffrey with a pass coming out of the backfield with so few yards to get. I think at that point in the game Cam had targeted Cmc 8 times for 8 completions,  if it was working why go away from it in that situation. That was a crucial set of downs that ended with the Panthers punting and Atlanta getting good field position that ultimately led to a touchdown.

As a general rule. 2nd and short is the time to go for it. You have to believe you can still make the first down on 3rd down. But yeah, that is the down and distance that most teams will take their shot.

No I get it, but the play I'm describing I believe was on 3rd down, I remember as the play was happening thinking why are you guys motioning Mccaffrey out wide, he had been doing whatever he wanted all day isolated against their linebackers coming out the backfield. I think we just gave up on the run too soon, CJ opened the game with a 20 yard run and only had two carries after that.

Atlanta has speed to burn on the parameters on both sides of the ball, the Panthers  defense obviously did not show up, I think the overall game plan on offense should have been more run oriented ball control especially with their two run enforcers Neal and Jones out this game, and keep Atlanta's offense off the field which like the Saints is far more potent when you face them in their dome.

We abandoned the run too soon with just 18 runs and almost 40 passes Should be closer to 50 % runs

It's how Joe Flacco got a ring so why not?

CMC averages over 7 yards a catch. That means we could literally just dink and dunk to CMC every other play and more often than not drive down the field .. why stop what's working?

Passing to CMC certainly didnt lose us the game. If the defense even played halfway respectable I bet we wouldve won . Hell we still had a chance to win at the very end of the game if DJ Moore come down with that catch and we get a 2 point conversion.
