NFC South..rank the teams after two games

Hard to say much after two weeks. Panthers should be getting Samuel and Byrd back next week. Hopefully Olsen soon as well. Samuel will help open up a lot. Hopefully DJ Moore is used more from the slot because he honestly is still usable no matter how raw he is on the outside.

Tampa's looking good, but Fitzmagic only lasts so long before the inevitable lull. I'd give it a few games before crowning them.

Saints are weird.

Falcons I'd say are the best. Loaded on offense and defense. Only one holding back that offense so far has been Sark, and given he called a decent game today, they can and will take off.

1. TB - they're 2-0 and look like one of the best teams in the NFL so far.

2. ATL - 1-1, 1-0 in the division. They lost a close game to the defending champs and beat us.

3. CAR - 1-1, 0-1 in the division. Still quite a few issues to wrinkle out on both sides of the ball. Zero downfield passing game, not much of a traditional running game, still getting carved up by teams that can get the ball out wuick in the passing game and get to the edges in the running game.

4. N.O. - nearly lost to the Browns today. That says it all. However, they still remain a nightmare head to head match up for us because they can do all the things I mentioned in #3.

1. tampa bay - tampa bay looks like the team to beat. people are waiting for fitzgerald to fold, but in the mean time...

2. atlanta - in second place because the offense looks like it's caught it's stride....either that or it's just because the panthers' defense sucks that bad.

3. new orleans - initial thought put carolina at this spot, but brees and company are going to feast on the panthers' defense.

4. carolina - the offense looks good, but there are too many injuries. how long before it collapses? the defense is just awful.

Loaded on Defense? Their interior of their line right now is very meh. Jarrett is okay, not great. And their LB's are very meh as well.

All 4 teams are flaky as the flakiest biscuit. I'll rank them and hand out some biscuits as well:

1. Saints. 2 biscuits. They start out this way every year, lately, and probably didn't bother to gameplan much for TB. But is that D back to bad now?

2. Bucs. 3 biscuits. They look stout, but the Fitz thing isn't real till it's been gameplanned a couple of times by teams with some tape. Also, they have a nice little QB controversy coming their way soon.

3/4. Falcons and Panthers. Both with 1 biscuit. Not much out of the ordinary, both struggling with injuries. Probably equivalent at the moment.

    • yeah, I can get a little of that.  But that's not what he is posting in his argument just now though.   He said people wouldn't even concede to the literal ability to do it when pressed on the literal ability.  I have never seen that.  He maintains it exists somewhere.  I mean, using anomaly games to make arguments about players just isn't the way.   There wasn't a defender within 10 yards of our guys on 2 of those 3 throws Sunday.  No one within 5 on the 3rd.   That's not Bryce Young answering questions about his play downfield..  That's Bryce Young taking advantage of coverage busts by a bad D.  Which hey, that's part of the game too.  Recognition and seeing the field.   It can't totally be dismissed.   That's still good play.  You want your QBs to make those plays.  But it's not getting into the long standing critique of BY IMO.
    • Deserved, I wouldn’t use that word. Asked for? For sure. Am I upset over it? No.  People forget that AT was throwing his helmet in frustration last season over his QB’s ineptitude. The same QB was pretty inept to start this year, no guarantee AT would have helped him in those games any more than he did last year.  Just sayin.  And Dan doing him a solid probably did not go unnoticed by players around the league. I think it increases his rep with potential FAs. It sure can’t hurt it.
    • You think that was the fault of the guy that was lighting it up or maybe the bums around him? Funnily enough, those bums are still being bums in his absence. Who would have thought!
