We should trade Vernon Butler to the Steelers for Sean Davis.

They can't stop the run, and we need a young safety project that can play all over the secondary. It'd free up some cap space for us too, I think.

Person says Cole Luke is now listed as a safety. He expects him to be elevated to the regular roster as a backup.

If so, the starting job will be between Gaulden and Jones. Probably Gaulden as they'll want to keep Jones working on special teams.

Sounds like people looking for outside help are likely to be disappointed.
