Torrey Smith is a waste

Funchess is soft and doesnt get separation

Wright should be the first option on every 3rd down and needs more snaps

Samuel can get open and is a threat to score every time he has the ball

an unpolished DJ Moore is still better than Torrey Smith and he will only get better

Yes there is doubt. I don't think you can go away from proven vets for young players still learning the offense.

Torrey has been really bad.  Moore, Samuel and Funchess is fine with me.

Funchess gutted himself off the field in the final drive to save us a timeout. Without that, we never get close enough for Gano to attempt the FG. I will disagree he is soft. 

That said, I have not seen enough to this point to convince me it would be a wise allocation of resources to resign him.

all I know is curtis samuel is the best receiver on this team and definitely needs more snaps and looks.

Funchess played well, but DJ and Samuel are special talents.

Samuel, Funchess, Moore, and Wright should be getting all of our snaps at WR. When we go empty backfield, CMC split out should be the 5th WR. With Byrd active for return duties as a backup option, there's honestly little reason for Torrey Smith to even be getting a jersey on game days right now much less starting.

Funchess was always meant to be more of an Alvin Harper than a Michael Irvin.  He got the number one slot after the Benjamin trade but it's not really his best role.

That said, he doesn't deserve a lot of the crap he gets.

I dont question his toughness—- i mean that he’s soft as a receiver. He should be bullying corners out there with his size and he gets pushed around alot

Agreed. OP may be correct (may not) about the lack of separation, but do NOT call him soft. I got no problem with Funch.
