Love the guy, rock his jersey on game days, but his career is coming to an end.

Hopefully the coaching staff will manage his snaps and nurse him through the season.  Yes, he's valuable, yes, he's the best TE on our roster by a long shot . . . but he doesn't need to play all the snaps to have that impact.

Oh he's definitely jeopardizing the future so he won't look like he's stealing money after being hurt last year to play now. Won't be shocked if he has to hang them up

Sounds similar to Tillman just playing til the rest of his knee tore. I hope he’s able to stick around the rest of the season. It’ll be sad when he’s no longer around.

Ian Thomas was terrible yesterday. TE is gonna be a sore spot the entire season.

Sadly the writing has been on the wall since he reinjured himself this season.

Greg Olsen for the majority of his time as a Panther up until last season had been teflon practically. We could always count on him. We got lucky a few times with some close calls, but for the most part he was rarely injured. I really hope at least some fans can appreciate that. I imagine inevitably someone will jump in to bash him for something, which is frankly deeply embarrassing for an already iffy fanbase. But the harsh reality is we've done very little with the TE position since Shockey exited several years ago. Ed Dickson is a good guy and he was an alright backup but we haven't done much in the way of finding adequate talent capable of taking the reigns from Olsen besides throwing poo at the wall hoping it sticks. Undrafted or walk-on prospects don't count for anything.

i have broken this same bone in both feet and its just a really easy bone to break. Depending on where you break your fifth metatarsal decides if they recommend surgery but normally it will hurt on its own.

I don't think Thomas was terrible yesterday. He just wasn't Greg Olsen.

As for Olsen, I really don't see him playing out his current contract.

When you're responsible for your QB getting two picks, I would say that's terrible.
