Norman has been an absolute bust.

How bad has he been? The high-priced cornerback was benched at times during Monday night’s blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints. It led to a war of words between Norman and Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas following the game.

If we are going to take these two players and look at them in terms of their on-field production, Norman himself might just want to tone down the rhetoric.

According to Pro Football Focus, the 30-year-old cornerback has yielded an absolutely absurd 156.3 passer rating when targeted in coverage this season.

Can he pull it together against his former team?   Gettleman not here so that helps a little.

Do you think he will have his best game against the Panthers?

The whole season or just that game?

he doesn’t get thrown at much and their defense is 10th in scoring, 5th in total yards, so I’d have to see if he sucks all the time.

their whole defense is overrated numbers wise, so Josh is probably trying to do too much,.. that happens.

it would be awesome if we clobbered them and Josh came back to Carolina,..

Playing in New Orleans should never be how you judge a defense or player

but Josh hasn't been good anywhere that I've really seen him play. Not sure why. He was legit in 2014-2015 but this is exactly why not signing him was the right move (cutting him not so much) so Gettleman gets half credit.

Bradberry went against OBJ who is uncoverable and was at least consistently there for the tackle and made a few plays. I think with more reps vs the elite Bradberry can get a good bit better but I don't think he'll be elite and maybe you don't need that from him.

2015 Josh Norman was ***amazing*** . . . one of the best season long performances by a CB in Panthers history.

However, there hasn't been any other year in his entire career where he's been that good.  With us, with Washington . . . not one year where he was anywhere near that good.

And yea, he's now on the wrong side of the age cliff.  I wouldn't want him back here.  Not because of any sort of attitude or personality he may or may not have had, but because the odds are he'll never be 2015 JNo again.

There are only a few corners in the past decade that can play at an elite level in any scheme and Norman is not one of them.  In the right scheme (like the Panthers have), he is a stud and I'd love to have him back.

Josh Norman is a perfect example of a player drinking their own Kool-Aid after a banner year. He managed to crazy himself out of a contract here where the system benefited him greatly and ended up at a team that consistently overpays for players and then can't coach them up.

By all accounts, he's a pretty good kid, but that's the problem, too. He still acts like a 12-year old on the playground rather than a 30 year-old man who earns millions of dollars.

While I know Josh has not had the performances he's had here...he can still get into people's heads and ego.  Wouldn't be surprised if he challenges Cam all day to throw it at him, and Cam takes that invitation...if Norman will be matched up with Funchess...he'll eat DFunch up.
