What does the comeback vs Eagles mean?

  1. 1. Identity defining moment or Fools gold?

    • Identity defining moment for the season (like vs Seahawks in game 5 of 2015 for a Super Bowl run)
      56
    • Fool's Gold (too many issues to feel good about this carrying over to the rest of the season)

It means we won a game.

People have a habit of trying to take big moments and make them mean more than what they actually do. Remember the Eagles had 4th and 26 right before they lost to us. And that's just one of several examples.

If it's part of something bigger, we'll see. For now, appreciate it for what it is.

Or last year, when the Vikes had the near miracle finish against the Aints, only to get blown out at Philly.

Its a win, and it may give us a boost of confidence when faced with similar situations in the future.

Yep. Another good example.

I feel like we might start running a faster paced offense after this. Norv can hopefully beat some sense into Rivera about switching up the offensive strategy

Everything points to a faster paced offense. We have speed at the receiver and rb positions and an athletic qb. We can beat teams with that speed if play up tempo. Cmc would thrive as a dual threat and Moore and Samuel would be gamebreakers

Interesting poll results. Looks like vast majority feel optimistic about building momentum off this victory. It’s going to be a real test for this offense against the Ravens D, and I don’t think they would allow a comeback like that.

I will tell you all what it means, dammit.  Pull up a chair or stand--makes no difference to me.

1. It means Cam is better in the hurry up offense when he does not have to focus all of his pre snap attention on the play clock.

2. It means we can beat anybody at any time on any field--even after spotting them 17.

3. It means that if we ever put together 4 quarters of football, we could be scary good.  With Smith, Wright, Samuel, Moore, Van Roten, Clark, and Moton all playing starting roles this season, the light seems to be coming on for 58% of the offense.

4. It means that the defense is starting to click.  Sure, Cam's 4th quarter performance was solid, but so was the defense--the entire game.

5. It means that real fans got to experience what it is to be a real fan, and fair weather fans only got to hear about it.

6.  It could mean that our coordinators are getting comfortable...or we just had a gust of good fortune.

It means a W. That is all. I wouldn't take anything from this win other than we need to start clicking early and often. You do that by calling plays with a HIGH degree of success to get your QB some rhythm and confidence. Sometimes a team can get in their own way with bringing too much trickery into the play calling as was the case last Sunday and in Washington.
