Hurney willing to trade CJ?

The fact that he is still on this team means he absolutely has value.

He has just enough value to us to make the roster, but not enough to get a jersey on game days.

It's really rare for a #3 RB to hang around as long as CAP has while offering nothing on special teams. Those bottom of the roster types almost always need to be ST contributors to last and the fact that CAP isn't is what keeps him from being active.

IF we could find a trade partner it'd almost certainly be for a conditional 7th rounder.

when the weather gets cold and bad....CJ will get his touches.

again, we have a new OC.  He is still in the figuring out phase.  He has a lot of unique talent.  No one should expect this O to really flow until the second half of the season as well.

He will be very valuable in the playoffs as well.

I hope they're saving him for the playoffs.

also, I think if we could get a lead on someone in the near future...

we would see some more of CJ Anderson.   I mean if we are down,  CMC offers more.  We been trailing a lot lately.

We really don't have too many players we could realistically trade. Mayo, CJ, Horton, and maybe Byrd. Other than that, I can't think of anyone outside of our core players that anyone would want and they aren't going anywhere.

You could pretty easily talk me into trading Butler for a mid-late rounder and moving Kendrick Norton up from the practice squad.

Just because ESPN says he is a candidate for trade, does not mean that Carolina has him on the block, near the block, circling the block or even in limited telephone conversations with the block.

CJ was brought here to bust defenders up when the weather turns cold. He's our ice breaker and he'll be devastating over those last six regular season games, not to mention the three that follow. Dude was wearing a parka and toboggan at summer camp practices for God's sake. He's ready.
