Playoff loss to the Saints

Week 17 loss to the Falcons in 2017

Week 13 loss to the Saints in 2017

TNF loss vs the Eagles in 2017

MNF win vs the 7-5-1 Redskins in 2016

SNF loss vs the Seahawks in 2016

Week 12 loss vs the Raiders in 2016

Week 1 loss vs the Broncos in 2016 (we were both 0-0, but I'm counting this because this was a giant game)

Super Bowl 50 loss

Why do you think this is and why do you think this week vs. the Steelers will be any different if you think we're going to win?

Well....I would challenge the breakdown of the games you picked.  I mean you cherry picked in the Bronco Super Bowl and left out the 5 prime time games they won that season.  So if you include the Bronco loss I would think you would need to include those 5 wins.

and like you mentioned, you then added a loss to a Bronco team that was 0-0.  And as far as actual play? They played well enough to win it.  Hence Gano hitting the first kick.

Then you added a Raider game that wasn’t prime time I don’t believe.

So to sum up how I feel? I feel like your post is more a representation of our 2017.  And our 2017 team made life easy on defenses.  Because we had zero speed on offense outside of what was in our backfield.  None.  And despite that, the 2 prime time games we had Olsen (Playoff game and Philly)....we had shots to win and were in them.

So the real question is....why won’t we win.  We should be in the game with this roster.

Yea go back 12 games and it doesn’t look as bad. But regardless, if we can pull out a win here, we will have put the entire league on notice. If not, we will be shrugged off for a while.

I still say it basically just highlights the 2017 team that lacked Olsen.  And featured a WR corp that was slow as dirt overall and could stress an opposing D.   Could of won either game Olsen suited up for despite the weak WR corp

This whole thread is fake news

Most of those games were not nationally televised, believe me I would know since I live in Florida.

The simple answer is that what happens this Thursday is totally unrelated to what has happened in the past. If we can contain their offense to less than 24 I think we have the offense to put up 27 or better on them.

Agree.

We definitely need to run and move chains.  I think we want limited possessions overall in this game.

Why da fuq even post this? It'll be a tough game. Winnable for either team. Good heavens.

LOL, alrighty. Sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The last time we beat Pitt, was in 1996. Our Defense is average as Hell. So, I don't feel too comfortable about beating them. And LOL at the number 1 offense being the Bucs. Jesus.

So because the 1996 Panthers couldn't beat the Steelers, we shouldn't feel comfortable?

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
