Moving on to Seattle, what are your thoughts on the game

I'd love to see our talented defense actually play at least at an average level. Watching overpaid 1st and 2nd rounders totally poop the bed doesn't make for a great Sunday afternoon. All that money and we're getting below average play.

On offense I really don't want the ball going to mediocre talent when we have an abundance of top tier talent. Run Cam/CMC, throw to DJ/Samuel/Olsen/CMC mostly.

It seems to me the NFL is dividing into to types of teams, the dominant offensive powerhouses, and the rest. Seattle and Carolina are in "the rest" category. We should be in an ugly struggle with Seattle and it's anyone's guess which team might come out on top. One key to this game will probably be boneheaded plays and blown coverage. Our Panthers have looked clueless and unprepared in their last two games, so until I see otherwise I expect the trend to continue.

Both teams are top 10 in opponent rushing attempts per game (Carolina is 6th, Seattle is 5th), but both teams are worse than their perceived rushing defenses are. Carolina is 15th (4.3 YPC allowed), Seattle is 28th (4.9 YPC allowed). Should be interesting as we both would prefer to run the ball and control the clock.

Likely to stay close and come down to turnovers/special teams.

Always rooting for the Panthers but I'm feeling Meh.  Just preparing myself for an average performance.  I believe Wilson will use his legs to keep the drive alive and keep it a one score game.  Panthers will have to pull out a last quarter come back.  Just haven't seen enough to believe the Panthers can keep up with a shoot out against the Saints to take the division.

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
