Even if you bring him back and the team starts bad next season 0-3 0-4 there would be absolutely no point in keeping him the rest of the season so u fire him mid season and that's already another season down the drain. Just dont understand how you roll that dice if you are tepper.

You don't want to fire a coach mid-season.  If you think that's a possibility you do it now.

Yep, the ONLY reason for retaining Rivera is you think that he gives you the greatest possibility for improvement next season and beyond.

So if Tepper brings back Coach "I would have taken a shot too" that IMO would be a sign of questionable judgement from the new owner since the only thing "Paddleboat Ron" is leading this team too in the future are higher draft choices.

As garbage as we are in all facets, we’re still the favorites to pick first in 2020. Add Ron to the mix and it’s a lock.

Ron will be here next year, we'll have a healthier team and we'll have a playoff year.

And Heinicke and Allen both showed why they are here. Both will be great as back ups to Cam. Heinicke's toughness might have gotten him a chance somewhere, if not just here next week.

I guarantee you if Ron is back, we will lose at least 12 games. The players don’t want to play for him anymore. I don’t care what lip service they give the Observer at 5pm every Sunday. The lackadaisical excuse for effort speaks volumes.

That comment by Ron on the hit Cam took was just as dumb as a coach can say or look. U may say that to Cam in a joking manner to get him to understand how opponents look at him to get him to start finishing plays but to the media. He lost me completely right there! You are suppose to stand up for your QB. He really sees no value to the offensive side of the ball just defensive players. He is not a good coach and I been wanted him gone since at least 2013

I can't sign on with this at all.

I appreciate that the kid's tough. That's great. But he's not very good, and his skill set isn't well suited to what we run.
