What tight end do you want to draft

Not sanjay

But if for some reason we do get rid of Olsen

A 4th round guy like TJ Hockenson- monster blocker like Kittle was coming out.  Coming out of a school that has produced some good TEs lately.  Big body, soft hands when needed in recieving game.  Takes Manhurtz spot, helps blocking and another big receiving target for Cam

See “Greg Hardy.”

Hard pass.

There was no evidence of marks or bruises or anything else found on the girl and no marks from supposedly being thrown onto some guns so why keep bringing up false assumptions on Greg. This kid shouldn't be thrown under a bus for something that happened while back with no knowledge about him or what action was taken.

See my last comment.

It’s all about risk. Wouldn’t matter if the kid was a once in a generational talent. Any type of red flags whether justified or not have the potential to pose loss of play time. Anything that even slightly resembles domestic violence is a death sentence in sports. When we are talking about a  high round pick, wisdom requires a certain amount of conservation.

He didn't just attempt to protect a family member. He was repeatedly punching a female who was not directing anything in return. The psychologist that he had to talk to stated that his actions were disturbing. I'd make sure my investment was minimal.

For every Hill there are several Reuben Fosters.

It's called retribution and deterrence. Don't act like lots of people wouldn't give a few hits to send a message.

What do you expect a professional to say when someone hits someone a few extra times to make a point? I guess it is "disturbing," but you know what? No one is perfect and some people are more aggressive-minded than others when it comes to meting out what they might consider justice or righteous defense. You must remember that it was in the moment, and he was surely filled with adrenaline. I'm not saying that he was all right (pun intended), but as a human being who has lived awhile and has seen some things, I can understand how he could have gone a little overboard.

All that being said, he wasn't a troubled kid before the incident, and he hasn't been in any trouble since. To compare him to Hill and Foster not just seems wrong, it is wrong.

If he drops to the 4th you have to really entertain the idea of it considering how bad our dlineman were getting after the QB. 5th round? Take a home run swing and hope being around guys like TD, and Luke, and Greg and so on will keep him level. Also know that this happened while he was in HS and has not had a single incident since then.

Lesson to the wise.

dont ask anyone here if we should draft anyone you like. Everyone else will use their fake arm chair madden expert skills to put in some fake biased logic and tell you that your pick is stupid.

everyone here is equally worthless, that is the only constant. Ha

Were fine at the TE1 spot.

At the H-Back/TE2 role, Manhurtz is still a liability.  People were lumping him with Amini in camp and preseason as how the he11 he is still on this team.

Hockman is a Stud blocker but still reliable in the pass game and a perfect fit for that TE2 role.  Also is a guy we dont have to spend a early pick on (rds 1-3) yet still provide a upgrade to this offenses in all phases

Retribution and deterrence? It was a female and it wasn't his fight. Then he plead out to the charge rather than fight it, mainly because I doubt any jury would apply your logic once that video was shown.

Minimize the investment. There is no way you simply overlook what happened, not with the money guaranteed on rookie deals. That's not the same as saying we shouldn't be prepared to pick him in the right slot. We are not in a position to absorb a big cap hit sitting on the commissioners exempt list due to the next time he feels retribution and deterrence is needed.

There is nothing protecting you once the signing bonus is paid.

I understand what you're saying overall, but I don't accept the"it was a female and it wasn't his fight argument" on its face. If someone is attacking my sister, female or not, they're attacking my sister.

By the way, people plead out for a variety of reasons. We don't have all the facts, and we can simply speculate as to what a jury would have done.
