Our roster does not look bad before free agency and the draft have even started officially......

I am extremely excited about Paradis signing with us....he was number one on my realistic FA list. With that being said, we still have plenty of holes to fill. No team in the league goes into a season with pro bowlers at every position and this year will be no different for us. We will have plug and play positions (similar to our safety’s the last 5 years, Roten at guard last year etc.) that will end up working out for us by not having a big drop off compared to the players we let go (some will end up being an upgrade) Here are the list of people who could be Our starters next year *BEFORE FA HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED AND WITH THE DRAFT TO GO. What are your thoughts overall on these positions and how would you feel if they end up starting?  this won’t be a bad group as long as we can get a decent Tackle and DE out of the draft. I don’t believe we are as bad off as many claim. I feel like we have the talent to go to the playoffs and compete with any team as long as Cams shoulder holds up.

Ross Cockrell can be a absolute game-changer if he comes back healthy. We'd immediately have 3 starting caliber CBs.

The cupboard is barren at FS, LT, Nickel, and DE unfortunately. There really isn't a 2nd string talent available on the roster at any of those positions. Those are 3 positions we absolutely NEED to address through FA and the draft.

I disagree. With the Paradis contract we have money left to add depth through free agency and we have 4 picks in the first three rounds to work with. I’ve seen Pa their rosters with less talent make the playoffs in the past and we haven’t even started our FA signings or picked talent from the draft

I’m with you.  Not saying we are in great shape.  But the doom and gloom about our own team at this time of year is sad.  I have been around as a fan from day one like a lot of us.  I believe we can be a playoff team.

This has always been the fatal flaw of Marty Hurney teams. If the Panthers go into 2019 without a capable backup QB and Matt Kalil at starting LT I am very concerned.

Yessir...can’t have pro bowlers at every position. Every team has weak spots on the roster. I believe Moton will be our LT, easier to find a rookie ready to start at RT...add some pass rushers, oline depth and a free safety. Our DC was a big reason our defense was trash last year. As bad as it was with cam’s injury, Olsen’s, Williams’, Cockrell etc if our defense had been even middle of the road we’d have made the playoffs

As long as Cam and Luke are healthy, that’s a playoff lineup. We do need a FS and a couple DEs, but those can and will be addressed during the remaining FA and draft.

Id really like for Hurney to try and roll over quite a bit of funds for next year. I’m not expecting too much more out of free agency
