16
Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State
Sweat reportedly has a pre-existing heart condition, according to NFL.com , and it's unclear how it might affect his draft stock. If NFL teams clear Sweat, who dominated the Senior Bowl and dominated the combine (the man ran a 4.41, which is faster than Julio Jones, Odell Beckham and Antonio Brown) he will be an impact player

15 (47)
Yodny Cajuste, OT, West Virginia
Cajuste was great as Will Grier's blindside protector and could play either tackler or guard at the next level.

13 (77)
Deionte Thompson, S Alabama
Thompson is a rangy free safety who has impressive ball skills but a poor finish to the college season saw his draft stock slip.

36 (100)
Ben Powers, OL, Oklahoma
Powers played on one of the best offensive lines in college football last season and he'd add depth to the interior line in Carolina.

I’m warming up to Sweat,.. don’t see how he makes it there with so many mocks having him top 10 and quite a few top 5, but if he’s the guy I’m happy.

2nd round didn’t we take a private visit for MCGary and Tytus Howard? I would expect it would be one of those 2 there.

The other 2 I have no clue except Deonte has fallen down down down deep below,..

I agree with @Dex

In this scenario I'd rather we take Savage in the 2nd, and then Deiter in the third.

I do not have faith in Deionte Thompson at all. Maybe as a late round flyer but I think he's an overrated safety from Alabama of which there have been many

Sweat and Powers good. The rest are trash. Darnell motherfuging Savage Jr. please.

Savage seems to be a site wide fave...yes to Savage...no chance of Sweat unless we move up and that would probably eliminate Savage as a possibility...give me Dillard and Savage

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
