Josh Norris predicting Panthers trade up with Lions

8. TRADE: CAROLINA PANTHERS - T ANDRE DILLARD, WSU

Also through the grapevine I’ve heard the Lions might not ask for too much in a trade down. A similar move might be the Raiders-Cardinals trade from last year (swap 1sts, a 3rd and a 5th). The Panthers do not have a natural LT on their roster. This could set up their line as Dillard-Williams-Paradis-Turner-Moton.

Makes sense, we would need to trade up in front of the Bills to take Dillard. Mark my words, Buffalo will select Dillard if he's there.

I hope so, tired of hearing this Dillard crap. Move up to take Sweat I'm ok with

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
